The Necessity of Prototyping in Air Purifier Development
Air purifiers are high-performance appliances that rely on the perfect synergy between aesthetics and mechanical efficiency. Prototyping is a critical phase for:
Airflow Optimization: Validating the CAD design of internal ducts and fan housings to minimize noise (dB) and maximize Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR).
Sealing & Filtration Integrity: Ensuring a 100% airtight seal between the filter frame and the housing to prevent air bypass, which is crucial for HEPA performance.
User Interface (UI) Testing: Testing the fit and tactile response of touch panels, LED displays, and sensor modules.
Advantages: Prototyping vs. Mass Production
Fluid Dynamics Validation: Making rapid design adjustments to the impeller or vent grilles without the extreme cost of modifying injection molds.
Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) Evaluation: Creating "Master Samples" to finalize the choice between matte, gloss, or textured surfaces before high-volume production.
Structural Drop Testing: Assessing the durability of the chassis and internal motor mounts through physical impact tests.

Material Selection for Air Purifiers
ABS / PC-ABS: The industry standard for the main outer housing due to its excellent balance of impact strength and surface finish.
Transparent PC / PMMA: Used for control panels, light rings, and air quality indicator windows to ensure optical clarity.
PP (Polypropylene): Ideal for the internal filter cages and pre-filter frames that require a degree of flexibility and chemical resistance.
POM (Delrin): Used for precision moving parts like motorized louvers or sensor covers.
Technical Processes & Manufacturing Steps
CNC Machining: Used to create the large, complex outer shells and high-precision internal motor brackets.
Vacuum Casting (Small Batch): Efficiently producing 10–20 sets for marketing photoshoots or initial performance certifications.
Laser Etching & Silk-Screening: Applying precise icons, logos, and UI indicators to the control surface.
Surface Finishing: Including Texture Painting (to mimic injection-molded textures), UV Coating (for scratch resistance), and Bead Blasting.

Precision & Assembly Standards
Zero-Gap Fit: We maintain tight tolerances of ±0.05mm to ensure that large housing parts snap together seamlessly with no visible gaps or "steps."
Balanced Impellers: Precision machining of the fan blades to ensure perfect balance, reducing vibration and operational noise in functional prototypes.
Surface Texture Matching: We can match specific Mold-Tech or VDI textures to ensure the prototype looks identical to the final mass-produced unit.
